This fine ring was expertly hand fabricated around 1980 in polished 18 karat yellow gold. The tension-set pearl is 11.8 mm in diameter and boasts a clean AA grade. South Sea pearls, known for their large size, are among the rarest and most sought after pearls in the world. They take many years to cultivate, six times longer than Akoya pearls, and grow to be much larger on average. Their mesmerizing lustre is superior to other cultivated pearls due to a much thicker nacre. This vintage ring is a fine example, as it seems to radiate with a glow from within!
